Academic Audit

Academic Audit is a degree audit of your transcript. Where a transcript shows you what courses you have taken, an Academic Audit places those courses into a curriculum requirement or elective. The audit can be used as a tool to track your progress toward fulfilling your degree requirements. Currently, Academic Audit is only available to Rutgers-Newark students in the Newark College of Arts & Sciences (NCAS) and University College-Newark (UC-N).

Current Students

Students who have taken courses only at Rutgers Newark will see excellent results with Academic Audit. In most cases, the audit will give you an accurate picture of your academic progress at Rutgers Newark.

Transfer Students

Because of the differences in requirements and curriculums between Colleges and Universities, transfer credits may not show up in the proper area of your audit. If you feel that courses you have taken are not in the right area of your audit, please schedule an appointment with a transfer advisor in the Office of the Dean of Student Affairs.

Reentry Students

Reentry students that meet any of the following criteria may not be able to log on to Academic Audit immediately after reentering:

  1. You have been reentered but have not registered for classes yet. You must be registered for classes in the current semester. Please check back after you have registered for classes.

  2. You reentered and/or registered for classes during the Summer session. Please check back closer to the beginning of the Fall semester.
